and knowledge on cardiovascular topics.
Through our community
programming we provide opportunities and encouragement to individuals
and families interested in learning how to improve cardiovascular health
and wellness.

The Foundation sponsors
an annual 5K Run/Walk for people of all ages and fitness levels.
This is a free community event that promotes cardiovascular health
and fitness.

The Young Hearts for
Life™ is a free EKG screening program created to identify
high school students at risk for sudden cardiac death. The screening
involves a simple 3 minute EKG administered at area high schools
during the regular academic year.
To date 19,000 students
have been screened. Young Hearts for Life™ is
the largest screening program of its kind in the U.S

A 12-week program
that provides a step-by-step plan proven to help women develop
lifestyle skills that encourage health behavior changes for a
lifetime thereby reducing the risk of heart disease. This program
is funded by the Illinois Department of Public Health.

Midwest Heart Community
Foundation provides lectures on cardiovascular and related topics
such as diabetes, obesity, exercise, and women’s health
to organizations in the Chicago suburbs.
